Telmate Inc. is about as specialized a solution provider as they get. The San Francisco-based solution provider specializes in prison communications such as video visitation systems, secure messaging and introduced around this time last year a new product: the inmate tablet.
Around this time last year, they had already deployed solutions to more than 250 correctional facilities in the U.S. and four Canadian provinces. Its custom-designed Telmate Tablet communicates over an ultra-secure, custom-built wireless network and restricts and tracks data being shared in and out of facilities.

Who knew IT and Formula 1 racing would form partnerships? In 2013, EMC Corp. worked with the Lotus F1 Team to boost their resource optimization using the cloud.
This was done in order to comply with Formula 1 regulations that came into force last year. Race car manufacturers were to retool their IT and assembly infrastructure to switch from V8 engines to hybrid V6 power units and integrate new Energy Recovery System technology.
