Plymouth, MN – Primera Technology has appointed BlueStar to be an authorized distributor of its LX810 colour label printer.
Mark D. Strobel, Primera’s vice-president of sales and marketing described BlueStar as a well-known specialty distributor in North America. He believes by adding Bluestar it will increase the company’s presence with resellers, VARs, systems integrators and retailers.
The LX810 is an inkjet-based printer designed to print short-run, full-colour labels at 4800 dpi print resolution.
Targeted applications for the printer include primary product and box labels for cosmetics, specialty and gourmet foods.
IBM acquires BuildForge Inc.
ARMONK, N.Y. — A privately held software company based in Austin, Tex. has been acquired by IBM for an undisclosed sum.
BuildForge helps customers automate their software development processes, as well as meet audit and compliance mandates. The software enables software development teams document what was created, how it was developed, and where the application was deployed.
Danny Sabbah, general manager of Rational Software at IBM said BuildForge closes the gap between writing code, building an application, and releasing it into production.
Founded in 2001, BuildForge has more than 65 customers in the U.S. and Canada.
