Networking distributor Westcon-Comstor has expanded its current partnership with network solutions provider, Gigamon, bringing Gigamon solutions to Canada, the United States and also Latin American regions.
With this addition, Westcon-Comstor’s security portfolio now provides advanced network traffic visibility solutions. This allows partners to design and deliver end-to-end security solutions across enterprise, public, private, and hybrid clouds.
Gigamon provides active visibility into physical and virtual network traffic to boost security performance. Gigamon’s Visibility Fabric and Security Deliver Platform will be offered to remove network blind spots, and bolster security.
The Gigamon platform is built from security offerings from vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, ForeScout, FireEye, Check Point Software Technologies, and Symantec.
The two companies originally partnered up in July to expand the reach of both companies in the Latin America and Asia Pacific regions. Under the initial deal, Westcon-Comstor would act as a Gigamon distributor with A main focus on Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, and Chile.
The move over the summer broadened relationships with value-added re-sellers (VARs) in Latin America. Both companies hope to see the same happen in North America
“We’re excited to build up on our already successful relationship with Westcon in Latin America and expand our reach to hundreds of additional VARs and security ecosystem vendors,” said Barbara Spicek, vice president of channel sales at Gigamon. “Our expanded partnership will enable us to provide North American solution providers with the best-in-class network visibility solutions we are known for.”
