MONTREAL – It was a long nine years since Cisco Systems held its annual Partner Summit in Canada (Vancouver).
Company CEO John Chambers (pictured) took to the stage at the Palais Des Congres this week to talk about disruptive technology and the company’s strategy in software.
After day long keynotes, sessions, breakouts and meetings channel partners from around the world explored one of the great cities of North America.

Dave De Abreu, the Canadian channel chief of Cisco Systems hosted approximately 120 Canadian solution providers at the Scena at the Pavilion Jacques Cartier in old Montreal.
Flanking De Abreu is Cisco Canada president Bernadette Wightman and Cisco senior vice president of Americas sales Alison Gleason.

Cisco Canada channel sales leader and partner advisor Rebecca Leach was on hand with executives from Long View Systems of Calgary Ross, Jones, Andrew Bentley and Michael Thomaschewski.
Cisco Partner Summit 2015 talked about furthering partner-to-partner connections. Two executives who understand this strategy extremely well are David MacDonald, the CEO of CDN No. 2 Solution Provider Softchoice and Dave Frederickson of Long View Systems, CDN`s No. 5 Solution Provider.
