Frank Haid retired from Tech Data Canada as its vice president of sales this summer after a stellar career in the channel.
He joined Tech Data in 1999, as part of the company’s acquisition of Globelle Corp., where he served as vice-president of sales.
“Frank is an integral part of who we are,” said Rick Reid, president, Tech Data Canada. “The Tech Data Canada community owes so much to him, and he will be missed by us all.”
CDN interviewed Haid at the TechSelect conference in St. John’s, N.F.L.D. just before he departed the Mississauga, Ont.-based distributor. In part one of a three part interview, Haid talks about why he is leaving the channel/distribution business after 29 years.
Where on earth do you come up with “N.F.L.D.” as the short-form for Newfoundland? It’s “NL” by the way. And even the ancient old abbreviation was “Nfld.”
