AVG Technologies, an Internet and mobile security vendor, has signed up channel partner No. 1,000.
The security company announced the milestone at CES where it launched the AVG CloudCare 2.1.
Since its launch in October 2012, AVG CloudCare has amassed more than 1,000 resellers across Canada, the U.S. and the U.K.
Mike Foreman, General Manager, for AVG SMB, credits the company’s recent channel success to the close collaboration between the development team and the channel partner base.
He added that AVG management mainly comes from other SMB and channel companies saying that this gives AVG staff understands the challenges and needs facing small businesses and the channel.
The release of AVG CloudCare has a number of enhancements and refinements specifically for channel partners to help them add value to their small business customers via the cloud.
AVG CloudCare provides small business resellers and MSPs with a free-of-charge cloud-based administrative platform. The tools within AVG CloudCare allow them to remotely deploy and manage AVG’s anti-virus and content filtering through a single console.
Also key to AVG CloudCare is AVG Remote IT. Available currently in Beta, AVG Remote IT is another free tool that lets resellers remotely access and trouble-shoot issues on their customers’ devices from anywhere.
