In line with its strategy to further grow its channel presence, cloud infrastructure solutions provider Solgenia Canada Inc. is offering its partners a new business analytics tool focused on providing customers greater visibility into key performance indicators.
Using the company’s new Solgenia Analysis tool, business intelligence analysts can better visualize and drill down into data to identify process problems, determine their cause and make faster and informed decisions, said Ermanno Bonifazi, founder and CEO of Solgenia.
“Solgenia features a user-friendly dashboard and mobile apps that can be used to build and access BI reports on the go,” he said. “It’s a powerful solution both on the cloud and mobile devices.”
Solgenia Analysis also measures performance against objectives within key business processes, analyzes customer needs and uses this data to build dashboards with key performance indicators. The platform comes with customizable templates, dashboard, multi-dimensional analysis, predictive modeling and strategy maps. It also features a fully functional mobile business intelligence application that works natively on Apple and Android devices.
Solgenia is working Connx Solutions, a data integration and business intelligence firm headquartered in Redmond, Wash., which is helping in the implementation of Solgenia Analysis within its customer base in North America.
Its partnership with Connx, provides Solgenia the ability to further expand into North American corporate application and BI market in North America.
“Solgenia Analysis is another powerful tool that partners, VARs and resellers can leverage to provide their customers greater value,” said Bonifazi.
He said growing Solgenia’s Canadian partner network is a key focus of the company, which Bonifazi built literally in his basement in Spoleto, Italy back in 1994. From that humble beginning, Solgenia has grown into a $50 million company with 300 employees and more than 200 partners and resellers.
The company is always looking for value-added resellers, ISVs and services organizations to join its network. Its partner program is designed specifically to support the growing demand for business apps including BI and data mining tools, collaboration apps including document management solutions and unified communication tools, and platform infrastructure geared specifically towards cloud brokers.
Solgenia initially focused on the development of business software and applications. It later created strategic alliances with large multinational companies in the IT industry such as Microsoft, IBM, HP, Cisco, and Oracle.
By 2007, Solgenia went into overdrive expanding its customer base through acquisitions in Canada, Mexico and the United States. Its primary products include: Powua, a cloud management solution; Weblive, a unified communication solution that brings together web, mobile and PC environments in a virtual meeting experience; and Facsys, a line of fax routing solutions.
Among its notable acquisitions were: emFAST Inc., the U.S.-based owner of the Facsys, which is sold mainly to Canadian and U.S, partners; and Microset Systems Inc, a Canada-based security, network and unified communications reseller and the largest Canadian channel partner for Facsys.
